About.

Douglas learned to play the organ at age 8 and bass guitar at age 14. Since that time he has added drums, rhythm guitar, keyboard, mandolin, and steel guitar to his repertoire.

At age 18 he started writing his own songs and performing them with local groups on the weekends.  His first song, "He Gave His Tomorrows" was written in 30 minutes from start to finish with it being musically arranged by the late George Carr.  It was George who encouraged Douglas to pursue his songwriting as well as performing his original works with The Waymarks, a Gospel Quartet at the time from Alma, Arkansas.

He has played semi-professionally and traveled with a couple of different Gospel Quartets.  While he enjoyed the travel and meeting many fine folks across the country, he decided touring was not for him and opted to go into public ministry.  Douglas says the highlight of his musical career was getting to play with "Final Touch" a group that opened for The Hinson's, The Florida Boys, and The Dixie Echoes.
From the Fort Smith, Arkansas Metro Area, Douglas resides on his family's property just outside Fort Smith.

A Songwriter/Producer/Musician affiliated with BMI Music his passion is songwriting.
